Few stories reveal the heart of God for sinners, like the triplet of parables found in Luke 15.

With the parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son, we see God's heart to bring sinners home to himself.

And to demonstrate his great love for sinners, God gave up His Son, Jesus Christ, so that

you and I could become His sons and daughters by faith.

One of Satan's lies is that you've done too much.

You've gone too far, too much time has elapsed.

You could never get back to where you need to be.

In fact, sometimes from the far country, we think of home as being so far away and God being so distant. And we believe Satan lies, Satan's

lies that we can never get to where we need to be. Well, on your own, you can't. But I got good news

for you. The Lord will accept you right where you are and bring you to where he wants you to be.

Look, it's not about you getting there. He will come to you.

In this amazing story of the prodigal in Luke chapter number 15, when the boy came just like he was,

the father came to him just where he was. You never get all the way back. No, the father comes

to where you are. You don't clean yourself up. The father cleans you up. It's not about what you can do.

It's about what God himself can do when you come just like you are.

In fact, the words of that famous hymn are ringing in my ears now just as I am without

one plea, and that thy blood was shed for me, and that thou bids me come to thee,

O lamb of God, I come, I come. Would you come home today just like you are? Let's read from Luke

of my fathers have bred enough in despair and I perish with hunger. I will arise and go to my father

and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee, and am no more worthy
