We're in our last installment here of this portion of the book of Hebrews.

Before we move on, this is our fourth study in what we've titled just give me Jesus.

And before we read it, you can grab your Bibles and go to Hebrews chapter 5,

but in my mind, in my heart, on this Wednesday night, I'm thinking it's cold, it's windy,

it's dark,

and it's a great night to stay home.

But you're here,

and I know you were coming by the way,

and you know, I got to tell you, pastors think this way all the time by the way.

We always wonder if anybody's going to show up.

Always, is there anyone who's going to show up?

And then God always surprises us, but then it's not a surprise,

because if the Word of God is going to be opened up, the Son of God's going to be exalted,

and it's the Holy Spirit who speaks to people and tells them go.

And they go, and we come.

But I want to ask you this question of preparation to our study tonight.

Don't say anything out loud, but why are you here?

Why are we gathering like this here in the midweek, cold, dark night?

And why study the Bible?

And I just want to give this to you before we read.

I believe that you and I here tonight were here because we maybe might be seen.

Some form of a coming revival, perhaps, in America.
