And let's open our Bibles to Hebrews chapter 5, or you can look to the screen or do both,

is what I would like you to do. By the way, I know that we read from the screens in the opening

of our messages, but after that we're in the Bible as we go through the Bible and study.

I want to encourage all of you. I know many of you use your devices and that's fine,

but if you bring a Bible, bring a highlighter and a pen and write stuff down,

and when we go through a sermon, write those scriptures down. Make your Bible almost into like a

diary. And it's a pretty precious thing because after you mess up your Bible enough in a good way,

put a rubber band around it and put it on your bookcase. And someday, I hope the Lord comes back

tonight, but if he doesn't, someday your kids or grandkids are going to inherit your Bible.

And it could actually affect them in their own faith. And you ought to write all kinds of

stuff in there. And some people might say, you could never write in my Bible. Your Bible is a book

printed down in L.A. somewhere on paper and shipped over here. It's the truth that matters,

that's on the pages. Believe me, you can write in your Bible. And you should write dates when

God speaks to you, mark it down. And they'll have that verse right there in this day and

make it work. But as a church, I want to make sure I say this. It's been a long time since I've

said this. I want to make sure that this is a church that continues to be a church that on Sundays

and Wednesdays, people walk to church, come to church with Bible in hand. I never want to be a

church. I never even want to go to a church where people don't carry Bibles into that church.

That would be creepy weird to me. Yeah, you know, that's kind of strange looking. But anyway,

all right, Hebrews chapter five tonight, I'll read, starting in verse six. And we're in part two

of this message. Just give me Jesus. As he also says in another place, you are a priest forever,

according to the order of Melchizedek.
