It is because God's wrath is real, that His mercy is relevant.

Unless you have a real wrath, the biblical concepts of mercy and of grace

What we have here is a failure not to communicate but to submit.

One of the most shocking sentences I've ever read in a book was written by Dr. Ted Tripp.

He said the number one job of parents, the matter of urgency that you need to get on immediately is helping your child to submit.

Why did he write that?

I don't know, 20, 30 years ago because it's biblical.

Second of all, it does appear.

No, it's a trend in our culture that submission is one of the worst concepts that colonialists ever concocted.

Why? Because it doesn't mean I get to be my authentic self.

I got to be me.

That means if you tell me to do something, you tell me to not do another thing.

I can't live autonomously.

And that is my number one value.
