I have a little follow up on the whole thing about impeachment from Alan Dershowitz in

the Wall Street Journal today that I think is interesting since we're full on in this.

There's a decent chance the president's gonna be impeached in the house and then I don't

think he'll be removed but this is actually going to happen.

I think the words other high crimes and misdemeanors does accord Congress some discretion.

But as much as rejected term, maladministration, but not as much as the rejected term, maladministration

would have.

The words seem to require criminal like acts of serious nature, though precisely what

would suffice is anything but clear, a sitting president would almost certainly be impeached

if he committed murder.

Despite the historical precedence that vice president Aaron Burr was not impeached for

killing Hamilton in a duel.

I didn't realize that was while he was vice president.

Isn't that crazy?

And didn't get impeached for it.
