So my friend, good friend of mine, has a nephew.

We'll call him, we'll call him Danny.

And Danny was a really, really good baseball player as a kid.

And he had all the tools to make it to the major league.

Really great athlete, played catcher.

He was being scouted.

He was so good he was being scouted at 13 years old.

Really a perfect baseball player in a lot of ways.

But the problem with Danny is that Danny didn't give a shit about baseball.

Danny was in love with football.

All of his friends played football. All of his friends

encouraged him to play football. What was the issue? There's a lot of two sport athletes out there

like Dion Sanders, Bo Jackson. Everybody's trying to play multiple sports. The problem with Danny,

though, is that Danny was a bad football player. He sucked at football. He was too small.

He wasn't strong enough to handle playing football at that level. The things that made him a great

baseball player, his quick twitch speed, his hand eye coordination, his IQ did not matter at all

in his teeny little mosquito body on the gridiron.
