Folks, more than just now, one year ago, more than 1,200 men women and children

including 46 Americans and citizens of more than 30 countries were slaughtered

by Hamas. 254 people were taken hostage, including 12 Americans.

Four of those Americans, Hirsch Goldberg Pollen, Aetay Shin, a Judy Weinstein, and Gad, Haggai were murdered by Hamas.

Four were released through an agreement in the United States negotiated last November,

and we believe four remain in captivity in Gaza we do not know if they

are dead or alive. In all an estimated 97 hostages remain held in Gaza today, marking one year since the horrendous attack

by Hamas inside Israel, the most Jews killed in one day since the Holocaust. So with all the

wars that Israel has been involved in since its founding the the

Independence War in 1948 the the Six Day War, the 1967 War.

I mean the list goes on, then the Six Day War, the Yum Kippur War, I mean these battles

with Hamas in the past, even with Hezbollah in the past, we've not seen numbers like this.

So though it has been a year, and in some ways it feels like a very long year, and in some ways it feels like this just happened yesterday.
