Summary

When Sue and her young family finally moved into their first home, they were excited to start fresh—until her three-year-old son began mentioning his new “friend.” At first, Sue thought it was an innocent imaginary friend. But as her son’s playful chatter turned to warnings, her maternal instincts told her something was very wrong. Descriptions of a little boy, sudden fears of the basement, and eerie encounters in the dead of night drove Sue and her family out of the home, leaving them to wonder: who—or what—was the ghostly friend her son saw?
