on the way to get there right now we are starting off Amy a series I've been looking forward to since we thought of it summer blockbusters this is the official beginning of our summer blockbuster series and we are starting off with a movie that unanimously defines the summer blockbuster which is Jurassic Park I cannot wait to talk to you about this film.

I know we put a call out on our social media and on our discord saying like what are the essential summer blockbusters not just the ones that you love not just the ones that we're good to hide out for a while with some soda and an eye air conditioning machine what are the ones that are actually good that you would stand by and say this movie is a titan this movie is worth wild this movie is not just fun it's a little bit art and you're as far far in a way was the number one thing I saw people saying like this is essential.

Amy before we jump into this episode I just want to ask how your summer movie experiences been we are back at the movies have you seen anything that you love what have you been watching anything jump out of you recently.

Well you know I did go to the premiere space jam to you love the dog gonna brag because salt and pepper played it was like what such a deep dive into immediate 90s nostalgia I felt both young and old at the same time.

Some pepper they also were in coming to America this equal to coming to America.

Uh there there haven't a right a song so I feel like they are assault and pepper songs and you know I'll take it because honestly like them singing let's talk about sex and all the 90s ladies like me grind and an audience that was like.

The most sexual summer blockbuster like space jam to is going to get so I respected them for bringing a little bit of the body heat to what is otherwise.

A bright colored PG movie that I happen to enjoy a lot honestly maybe I lost brain cells but maybe maybe maybe I'm just like sad and bereft without LeBron James in my life whooping in the playoffs but honestly I thought this movie was.

Far far far far far far superior to the original which means it's just okay but I was happy well if you want to hear a take on the original you can listen to the how did this get made episode where we did.

Space Jam live from Chicago very different episode than what we talk about on this show you know we're not talking about blasting it into space for posterity we're talking about it more like how Ripley blasted the alien out into space to save her life you know kind of a preservation thing.

Florence Pugh what do you think best actor sever or like best actor I got I got a fever I got a I got a fever for Pugh I mean she is awesome like I instantly fell in love with her I'm like I'm all in I've liked her another stuff but she just nailed that that scene in the airplane where she's talking about all the things that were done to her I don't want to spoil if you haven't seen it it is hilarious and also dark and wonderful and I heard that she really kind of helped create that scene which even gave me more respect for her.

I saw tomorrow or which is big and dumb and fun and reminds me of like those old school like Tony Scott Jerry Brockheimer movies I was all on board I was like this has heart and it's dumb as shit but I love it I'm having a hard time seeing that because you know I'm anti-prat how is he.

Oh don't be anti-prat I love Pratt don't be like how can you be pro Pratt I like Pratt I like him as human being as a person and I also like him as an actor.

I'm not as a human being I'm free to dislike him as an actor.
