Today's date is Friday, August 11th. We are less than one month from the kickoff of the

commander's regular season. Now it's getting real. The first preseason game is tonight 730

in Cleveland. You're going to get your first taste of Sam Howell after winning the Dallas

Cowboys game to close out the 2022 season. I know the fans. I know preseason isn't exciting,

but just getting a glimpse of what's to come. It's kind of tantalized. There's always

interest in that first one, especially when you have a young quarterback. I know you don't want to

see Jake from play, you know, most of the game, but you're probably going to see him play for a half.

You know, we've been throwing around how much Howell's going to play, how much we want to see him play.

I'd like to see Sam Howell play minimum two series, maybe a full quarter. Not sure if you're

going to get that, but you know, I mean, commanders fans want to see first of all what the offense

is going to look like with him. How much difference going to look and how efficient the same Howell

can be. Remember, I mean, we just don't know. You have to make the distinction between what fans

want to see because we haven't seen anything unless you've been out to commanders park or you count

the one game we saw last year, you haven't seen anything at all. So we're desperate to see.

Correct. The coaches though, they seem every day. They know what they got. They think they know

what they got. I mean, it's great, but they know what they got. They've decided he's going to be

the weak one starter. I don't think they're going to be super anxious to have a mouth there and be exposed

longer than usual. They know what they have against their own defense though. Right. That's true.

And the reports are that the offense was pretty far behind the defense for a lot of training camp.

True. Which is a little bit concerning with the the Brains playing their starters tonight.

Their defense is above average. I mean, it could give the commanders starting offense some fits
