All right, welcome to another edition of Junkies Throwback 30, where this week we feature the guys and some of their all-time hang-ups.

That's a compilation that we're doing for today's throwback 30.

When you first said hangups, I thought you meant like we had something that was like bothering us, you know, like a hang-up personally.

Like a hemorrhoid or something.

That'd be way too long.

But we've done a compilation of different guys that you've flushed throughout the years.

A special segment, we have your first flush ever.

Cakes, do you know the first flush that you guys ever did on the show?

And why?

I don't know it, but I'll guess that it was Jesse James is my guess.

No, no, no.

It was before Jesse James.

It was at JFK.

It was at when you guys were.

It was Jackie Slater in 1998.

He was with Fox Sports.

The only Hall of Famer.

Previewing, previewing, I think, the AFC and NFC championship weekend.

So he must have said something that offended us.

No.

Apparently.

What was the trigger? He was he was Hem and hauling for a couple of days. You were trying to book him and then he would call after the show. Okay. And then when you finally got the white whale of Jackie Slater. Yeah. His phone was so poopy. Okay. You couldn't you couldn't do the interview. Okay. It was distracting. It's a good thing that phones have gotten better of years. It actually caused a fight between JP and you. Jason. No, JP and you. I think because I booked him. Yes. JP had the Fox connection. And we were, we were, back then, we were getting Fox. We would get like Marcus Johnson on who was an NBA guy. I can't remember maybe it was, might have been Lenny Dykstra or John Kruk. Was like their baseball guy. And so he was torpedoing my connection to the guests. Well, some of the darkest days of the show were when we had to book the guests. Yes. That was terrible. That best thing ever. We're not doing that anymore. We hired Valdez and hired Drab and other guys to do the book. But think about it over the last 15 years, because that was so long ago. But we could have easily hung up on a bunch of guests. We never do it anymore. For sure. Because here's the deal. First of all, we've matured a little bit. We have more patience. We're more established. You've got to remember, we were fighting for our lives. We were fighting for our professional lives, right? Like, radio was big. They didn't have all the popular podcast. People hadn't abandoned radio yet. Like, it was a big deal. We're fighting for our professional lives. We're trying to be edgy. We're at a massive station. we have no experience. And we have these legends.
