I think Eric mentioned this the other day when I tweeted out that guest list.

And it turns out Drab was asking me for the date of our first show, obviously for this proclamation.

So I went through and I found the old notebook where I had all the guests.

And it is pretty amazing.

When we did our first ever show on the radio, which was May 4th, 1996, we actually rushed out

of there to make the Ui Awards in Bowie for cable access TV.

Yeah.

And there's no way we could have thought, I don't know who was Mayor Barry, the mayor at the time.

There's only would have thought at some point in our lives a mayor would declare a day for the junkies. No. We didn't even win the best show award that night. We got a job. We lost by that guy who literally chased moles out of his front yard with a garden hose. Yeah. We won Best Sports Show. There were no other sports shows. I bet he didn't get a proclamation from the mayor today. I'm just going to bet that that didn't happen. That's pretty cool, though. That is. I mean, it's kind of like, you know, can't take that away from you. That's right. You know, can't take it away to your own day. May 4th. Jason's birthday. It happens to be your birthday. That's pretty darn cool, man. Honestly, 30 years of doing the show, I didn't know we did a show for show on your birthday. I didn't remember that until he sent me the picture of the lineup. I didn't remember Jason's birthday until about 20 years of doing this show. it finally dawned on me that it was the day before Cinco de Mayo and the Star Wars Day.
