0:16.6	Let's start with the reflections.
0:18.6	We recently finished our 16th book of the Bible and are currently working our way through
0:22.4	two others, so let's get the 30,000th view on where we are in the chronological timeline
0:27.3	of the Bible's overall meta-narrative.
0:30.1	The Bible is one unified story.
0:32.4	Way back in Genesis, God set out to build a relationship with one particular family, but
0:36.9	things go terribly wrong when they fracture the relationship through sin.
0:40.3	But their sin doesn't surprise God.
0:42.7	He already had a plan in place to restore this relationship even before it was broken.
0:47.3	And He continues working out that plan immediately, undeterred and unhindered by their
0:52.1	rebellion.
0:53.4	He sets apart a man named Abraham to be the patriarch of the family, and he gives this
0:57.0	family a name, the Israelites.
0:59.2	There are a bunch of busted people who lie, cheat and steal.
1:03.3	God blesses them despite their sin, but sin still has its consequences.
1:08.1	One of the long storylines of consequences of the 400 years they spent enslaved in Egypt.
1:14.1	God sends a man named Moses to demonstrate his power to the Egyptian ruler who reluctantly
1:18.9	agrees to let the Israelites slaves go.
1:21.5	They flee to the desert, led by God and his servant Moses.
