What is this? Listen, I'll grant your Felger's freight. Here we go. Man, I got to lay off the peyote. It was horrendous. Felger and Mass. 985, the Sports Hub. Bye! Hi, everybody. Welcome to the program. It is Felger and Maserati on a Wednesday. We're going to start off talking some baseball. Anthony Murray, they're alongside Stu and Billy Lanny behind the glass, the regular crew. How you doing, Anthony? Good you. Fresh as lettuce, as we like to say. Enough of the pleasantries. I'll give you the number. We're going to start baseball. We're going to start Red Sox Yankees. Items with the game, items with the series, items involving the two teams.

Can I guess that, or can I surmise that you are mildly, generally, just a little pleased with the team? Yes. Yeah, you can surmise that. I told you. I thought going into this series. Because I do never know with you. Well, look, you know, it's never perfect. Okay, I'm sorry. I can't apologize for the way my personality is. I was, I'm wired a certain way. I came out of the womb that way. Just as God made you. Okay, so yes, I strive for, I want something to be 100% totally perfect.

1:14.5

And if it's not, I usually bitch about it. Okay, so that's the reality of it. I'm sorry. I'm giving you the apology now, so I never have to do it again. How's that? Good? Fine. That's okay? All right, good.

Then we're on the same page.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you that you're on the same page. Overall, good win.

1:28.1

Good win.

1:28.7

I told you, I'm not going to sit here and tell you that you're going into a fairly important series against a team that has played good baseball now for four months in the Yankees.

1:39.0

And that you're going to go in there at this stage of the season after the way they've played for the majority of and haven't turned a corner here in two weeks. And then Lydian say it was a crappy win. It was a good win. I thought they played it with a, you know, there was a level of intensity or buzz in that game that I think is a little different than a lot of the games we've seen in the regular season. I thought Farrell managed it as a game that he wanted to win. We can get to some of those particulars in a minute. And I thought that ultimately the Red Sox delivered. I had my doubts in the final inning and a half, two winnings, whatever, somewhere in that area. When, you know, Barnes got on the mound, Kimberle get in the game, it felt, didn't feel totally safe to me. But honestly, whenever the Red Sox go in New York and the Yankees are any good, those last two winnings are never going to be easy. Well, so you hit on manager, John. Didn't he do well last night? I thought he did. Yeah. I thought all in all he did. I saw Robbie Scott come out of the game in the sixth inning. I almost crap my pants. I thought, you've got to be kidding me. Robbie Scott and I didn't like the way it was going. But the reality is when you started, it only goes five innings, and you're lucky to get that much, you're going to really expose the weakest and worst parts of your bullpen. And so they walked to minefield a little bit there in the final four innings, I thought. But overall, you know, they had a lead. They were able to protect it. And again, the closer at the end of the game has been an absolute certified weapon at the end of these games. He is a weapon, which to me is what I wanted him to be. I got no gripes with Kimball this year. Okay. Do you have gripes, though, again, to Farrell? He managed the

3:07.7

game properly in terms of getting the win. Okay, he kept Pomerant's in. Pommerant struck out the last batter that he faced to get through the fifth. He went to those bullpen pieces and sort of, you know, they gave up a couple runs, but no one got totally smashed and they got out before Farrell let him get smashed.

3:24.6

And then he brings in Farrell Kimbril for the final four outs.

3:28.0

And so in terms of managing the game, he did well, didn't he in terms of getting the win last night. Let's just give him some credit if he deserves it. Yes. Yeah, I thought he did. I thought that all, you know, and again, I was happy to see Kimball up there in the eighth inning and all of a sudden coming to the game.

3:41.1

And I went, there you go.

3:42.6

There you go.
