I do not think, I do not think. So what do you get in this? Do you even listen to yourself when you talk? Hey, hey, we're live. Woo-hoo! Turn off your radio before it's too late. Hate it, hated, hated, hated, hated it. I told you this was a bad idea. Felger and Mass. 985, the Sports Hub. Felger and Maz 3 o'clock hour here coming up on 304 in the afternoon from our Town Fair tire studios.

Yon. 585. The Sports Hub. Felger Maz, 3 o'clock hour here coming up on 304 in the afternoon from our Town Fair Tire Studios. Red Sox Yankees. Battle for first place in the Bronx this week, starting tonight, Maz. Sox, two games out of the Yankees in first place. What stands out to you about this series? So I'm less worried about the first place part of it than I am about how the Red Sox play against the Yankees in this series. And when I say that, I mean, I'd like to see them win the series. If they take two out of three, the Yankees are still going to be in first place. But that would mean something to me. So the Red Sox look like they're playing better now. You've had a couple of weeks here. We have four series. They're 3-0 and 1. They've won 10 out of 14. They bounce back to earn a split in Baltimore over the weekend. And I'm one of those people that thinks, when you play a four-game series on the road against a decent team, you're going to have a hard time winning the series. It's hard. Okay, it's hard. Which was Maz had about to 12 really hot takes. You have to say the hottest of which is that he's kind of sort of a little bit pleased with the Red Sox. I just think overall they're actually in a half decent place right now. They're in a half decent place. Now, if they go to New York and get their asses kicked, I'm going to be pissed. Because I think this is what it is, Murray. I think the Yankees are legit. I think they're

1:28.7

for real. Now, again, I don't know if the Yankees are going to the playoffs, and I don't know if

1:32.4

they're going to win the World Series. I doubt it. I think the Red Sox are catching up a good time, too. They're six and six in their last 12. And the pitching matchups, I mean, look, I wish the Red you know, had someone better than Pomeran's, even though he's been good in his last couple of starts, you know, going in these three games.

1:44.3

But it should be, in theory, pretty competitive.

1:47.4

Yeah, so I just think. better than Pomerans, even though he's been good in his last couple of starts, you know, going in these three games, but it should be, in theory, pretty competitive.

1:47.4

Yeah, so I just think, I remember, I think you asked me in the early part of the year, what do you think of the Yankees? And I said, I think they're real. I think they're legit. I think that they're going to be a factor in the division. and again, they may not make the playoffs, but I think they're a winning team and that it would not shock me in the least bit if the Yankees win 86, 87 games, somewhere in that area. Wouldn't shock me at all. And they've played better than that here in the early part of the year. Do you think they're better? Do you think they're better than you game credit for even? I still think that the issue with the Yankees is going to be their starting pitching holding up. I think that's going to be the problem. So I just don't think Sabathia is going to go the way he's going. How's he gone? He's pitched well. Sabathia has pitched well overall. And so, and I'll give you the individual, Tanaka has not pitched great. And, you know, when you look at the particulars, though, they completely shut down the Red Sox here earlier in the year. But Sabathia is 6 and 2 with a 4.1 ERA. Which is more than people were expected. Absolutely. I think everyone thought he was done, you know, or close to it. Tanaka's ERA is two and a, you know, almost two and a half runs higher than Sabathia. So how the Yanks doing it? It's the youth. I mean, and to me, if you're looking for some sort of rekindling of tensions between the Red Sox and the Yankees, and look, you've made this point. Forget about the 0304 thing. You're never getting that ever again. Okay, that's not going to happen. That whole thing was built on the Yankees stepping on the Red Sox for 100 years. Okay, that's what it's not going to happen. That whole thing was built on

3:07.7

the Yankees stepping on the Red Sox for 100 years. Okay, that's gone. It hasn't, it's not

3:12.8

going to happen again. But if you're looking for tensions between the teams going forward and

3:17.4

fights for the division, you might get that. Like the Yankees have a good young nucleus

3:23.5

between Sanchez and Judge and your birds hurt,

3:28.5

but he's another one.

3:30.0

Severino now on the mound.

3:31.9

Like, there are some good young players there a lot like what the group the Red Sox have.

3:35.4

In fact, you could argue that over the last year, the Red Sox have been a hell of a lot more

3:40.4

like the Yankees of old, and the Yankees have been a hell of a lot more like the Red Sox. I mean, is that even debatable? I don't think it is, no, because Dumbrovsky keeps shipping off all these prospects all over the place and bring it in, you know, different players because he wants to make a concentrated run at a championship here, and the Yankees are building for the longer all.

3:59.3

So, to me, there's a total difference in the way the teams are approaching it.

4:03.3

Next 10 years, let's say seven.

4:06.9

Next seven years.

4:09.1

I'm not talking about this year.

4:10.6

I'm talking about the next seven.
