Folks, regular listeners of the AM Quickey, we have some bad news for you today.

Not horrible news, but not great news.

We are taking a hiatus with the AM Quickey, hopefully just for the summer. Maybe to return

in September, we shall see a whole host of reasons why that's the case. But the good news is

we're going to develop an email product. And so much of what you have heard over the past now almost two years from the A.M. Quickey,

hopefully we will be delivering to you in another form.

The show has been written by Jack Crosby and Corey Pine.

And the show has been cut and produced by Dorsey Shaw.

And of course, my co-host on this show, Lucy Steiner, has been co-hosting the show and voicing it every other day or I don't know how we did it.

Two days a week and then three days a week on and off.

So here is Lucy just to give her a sign off. Coincidentally, Lucy was moving on to

some bigger and better things. But here she is so she can tell you what she's up to. And then I'll

be back just to wrap things up. Thanks, Sam. So I'm leaving the quickie. There's no dramatic reason

for it. The reason is actually

pretty simple. Reading the news for some reason makes me extremely unhappy. And reading it out

loud for some reason is particularly miserable. I've been a fan of the majority report for a very

long time. I've been a fan of Sam for a very long time. It was really cool to get to do this for

a while. And it's sort of surreal to be leaving it voluntarily. But, you know, I don't know. I don't know if the quickie is the best it could be with me, to be honest with you. I mean, I think that there could be a great voice on here that's comfortable, editorializing a little bit more seriously on the news. that could maybe do a better job. And that's really why I'm leaving. I mean, it's not even that I don't need work.
