It's Friday, June 25th, 2021. Let's get into the mix.

Here are your Washington headlines for the day. What's at stake for each leader over the next few months?

Sumers ups and downs in June, and Harris goes to the border, and Biden talks to Afghani leaders.

Let's get into the mix. So this is it. We're heading into the most important

and intense legislative period in a long time. This summer and fall are going to be absolutely

crazy. The August recess is clearly at risk here. And during the next three months, Congress has to

do the following. Pass a budget resolution worth $3 trillion, a trillion dollars in hard infrastructure, another

$1.5 trillion to fund federal agencies, and a debt limit increase worth trillions of dollars.

This is real.

This is a lot of stuff to do.

And it's clear that the bipartisan part of this is over in the sense that this is not going to be the rank and file.

This is going to be at the leadership.

This, the, uh, Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi and to a much lesser extent, and we'll get to this.

Kevin McCarthy have a lot to do.

Schumer has, let's go through this because this is important.

Schumer has an increasingly difficult calculus here.

He has to walk the line between progressives and moderates in his caucus with each believing.
