union, Balpa, has been very vocal throughout the coronavirus pandemic, effectively just saying,

look, our members want to work. They want to fly people around Europe and around the world at the moment

they can't. And they say that UK aviation has been harder hit than anywhere else in Europe.

The number of flights in and out of the UK has collapsed by three quarters, they say, compared with pre-pandemic levels.

They are using the data from Eurocontrol, which coordinates air traffic across Europe,
