By the end of the 80s, most people knew about the life-threatening toxins in cigarettes,

and still, big tobacco shrugged off responsibility for millions of deaths.

But in a New Jersey courtroom, a defense team of attorneys representing the Liggett group

and their subdivision, Ligget and Myers Tobacco Company, sat on the defense.
