It's Friday, June 10th, 2022, TGIF. Let's get into the mix.

Here are your Washington headlines of the day. Number one, what happened during last night's January 6th committee hearing?

Number two, the politics coming out of the hearing. And number three, how the Nadler versus Maloney primary is

breaking down in New York. All right, Jake, let's get into it. The number one story that is driving

all of the news and the headlines this morning is what happened coming out of the first hearing

last night, the January 6th Select Committee hearing last night.

I think the way to do this really is a lot like we did with the newsletter, which is to try to put

into context just how damaging the hearing was to Republicans and former President Donald

Trump and what that could mean for future proceedings by the select committee and for the politics

of it all, which we're going to get into the second point. But let's just talk about what happened

last night. I had a hard time watching some of the video personally. It was pretty graphic.

Even as people who have watched, I've watched a lot of video and we all experienced what

happened there.
