Hey everybody. Today is Monday, June 1st, 2020. It is the first Monday after a rather tumultuous

up and down and painful and and at parts there I say inspirational weekend. I am tired so apologies in advance I can feel my eyelids getting heavy already and it's

only 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

I've had trolls sleeping.

And I've had a whole range of emotions

course through my body, of anger, of sadness of gratitude ultimately.

If you don't know, if you don't follow me on social media on Saturday in the wake of the peaceful

protests that took place in Los Angeles right near an area where my mom and my sister and her family lives, and

where the liquor store that's been in our family that my dad started up back in 1984 when he first came to this country

was looted was broken into, and parts of it burnt in the wake of the protest.

It was a horrific day, it was a horrific evening.

I'm only about 48 hours removed from it.

And I'm still trying to process all the emotions right now,

but I can tell you that it was very easy

to feel discouraged by all of it. To be angry at the looters and the people who are acting out of turn who are

smashing windows. I saw all of this. The facing public property up and down the street that I grew up in that I skateboarded in that I ran around with my friends in.

It's weird dystopian society. This weird

testosterone society that looks something straight out of a zombie movie was my street was my

my hometown and it And it pain my heart to see that.

And then obviously of course it pain my heart to drive to the business later Saturday evening to see the windows smashed to see the

gate had been ripped apart and to see that the inside had been gutted.

And then later that same evening, somebody decided to light the back of the store
