charged with a 2016 murder of his then-girlfriend.

suspect and the 2007 disappearance of Madeline McCann.

The suspect is a German national already serving along prison sentence on unrelated charges.

46-year-old Jeffrey Beer of Littleton, Colorado is in custody in Russia awaiting extra edition

back to Colorado to face trial for the 2016 murder of 36-year-old Charlene Void.

Void, Beer's living girlfriend, was reported missing in the summer of 2016.

Her body has never been found.

Void's relatives told NBC News that she and Beer had been in an on and off relationship

for years.

Void graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in landscape architecture and moved

from Southern California to join Beer in Littleton.

Her family reported her missing on July 8, 2016, after not hearing from her for days.

She went missing along with her car and her beloved Chihuahua, Toby.
