A truck driver who was filmed driving into a crowd of protesters in Minneapolis is

in custody and facing charges.

Fox News 9 identified the suspect as 35-year-old bogged in Vichurko.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. on Sunday during a protest against police brutality.

Vichurko is accused of driving his truck around a roadblock in order to reach a section

of I-35 which police had closed off the vehicles and where protesters had gathered.

Authorities say that Vichurko deliberately drove the truck into the crowd at a high rate

of speed.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported among the protesters.

A crowd ran after the truck hurling objects at it until it finally came to a stop.
