Good Thursday morning. I'm Anna Palmer and welcome to your Politico Playbook audio briefing.

And I'm Jake Sherman. Today's shaping up to be the kind of day where the president of the United States may be sitting in the White House stewing.

He has but two events in his calendar both in the afternoon and there's lots for him to be interested in on the

television. The city of New York will begin painting a Black Lives Matter mural outside of Trump

Tower on Fifth Avenue. In Manhattan this morning, Bill de Blasio will join in the afternoon.

At 10 a.m., the Supreme Court will announce its last rulings of the session, including whether

President Donald Trump's financial and tax records will get

sent to Capitol Hill. At noon, Jeffrey Berman, the recently ousted former U.S. attorney for the

Southern District of Manhattan, will testify in a closed session in front of the House judiciary.

The format, one hour of Dem questioning, one hour of Republican questioning.

At 1 p.m., defense secretary Mark Esper and chairman of the joint chiefs, Mark Millie,

will testify in front of the House Armed Services Committee about Department of Defense

authorities and roles related to civilian law enforcement.

And tonight, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will hold separate big

donor fundraisers for the Biden Victory Fund. Remember, Biden beat Trump in the fundraising game

the last two months. Obama's event is with Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and giving levels

range from $50,000 to $250,000. Clinton's event is with Donna Shalala and the lieutenant governor

of California. Tickets range there from 1,000 to 25,000.

The AP has a story out of Oklahoma City where the top health official in Tulsa there cited Trump's rally as a likely source of the virus surge in the state.

Trump's New Hampshire rallies in a few days.
