Summary

our questions answered – seeking (as always) to put minds at rest about the very likely absence of travel chaos this summer, but also concerned to read about certification requests from some cruise companies.

Hello, I'm Simon Corder, welcoming you to my independent travel podcast, bringing you the latest news on

0:08.3

travelling, whether you're dreaming of a great escape, looking forward to one or actually away and

0:13.6

having the time of your life. I'm sitting here in a fairly busy outdoor cafe and there is some cheerful chatter but there's also a bit

0:25.9

of road noise but I hope that you will bear me out. I wanted to give you a snapshot of what people

0:33.9

are concerned about because there's an awful lot of apprehension out there and I wanted to

0:40.8

just go through really the questions I've just been answering in a so-called ask me

1:47.8

they're going to Crete in September. They're worried about what might possibly happen in terms of the

1:55.2

awful situation of cancellations with British airways and Jet 2, what's going to happen?

2:04.5

And I've basically just said, look, if you're not going until September,

2:08.6

then first of all, British Airways and EasyJet have almost certainly finished the vast majority of their

2:14.1

cancellations. So don't worry about that.

2:20.4

Even if they hadn't, by the way, of course they would need to get you there the same day I would simply look at all
