here's a tip if you're doing this.

Let's say you go on Craigslist today and you want to buy a car, secondhand car. According to this,

there's something called the endowment effect. Use flattery and it breaks down a person's guard.

They'll be willing to sell things at a lower price. It's because they've invested themselves

in their own stuff. Like if you sell your own stuff, you overrate it.

So what you want to do is compensate in another area, compliment something else.

Then they'll be willing to go down.

That seems like a psychological answer.

It is.
