Here's what's driving the day.

First up, I have some new reporting about the reemergence of a familiar face into the national discourse. It's none other than President Joe Biden, who will speak tonight at the National Bar Association in Chicago. He wasn't gone too long. That's right. He keeps popping up here. It comes at an odd time for him, though, Dasha,

where his post-presidential life sort of enters a new, lonelier, quiet phase. I'm told that he's

been hold up for hours out of time, talking to old AIDS, working with a ghost writer as he writes

his memoir, and, you know, receives treatment for an

aggressive form of prostate cancer. And by all accounts seems to be doing as well as he can be

with that. He's also now flying commercial occasionally in economy class. There are all sorts

of TikTok videos popping up with people seeing Biden on planes.

No word on how he'll get to Chicago for security concerns. But it's really fascinating.

He's expected to speak. It'll be live streamed about 8 p.m. and is going to be talking about

justice and how he worked as a president to bring this about. He's addressing a lot of different

sort of industry groups. He spoke earlier this summer to a group of human resource managers,

which is not always what you expect from a former president just out of office. You expect them

to be sort of whining and dining the celebrity scene or

vacationing on some island. But here he is sort of just doing a work-a-day event like this.

Well, it's interesting because President Biden, like Uncle Joe, has always been a little bit more,
