Bill Belichick, he's talking today at, and it's funny because we're going to play it,

but he's supposed to talk at 945, and we had Phil Perry in yesterday,

and the media that covers the Patriots knows that these early press conferences are just awful.

And they're walking into it, like, knowing that these are the worst of the year. Death March, back to school. The only one, like in recent memory, that you knew was going to be fantastic. Actually, you know what? Last year's was going to be good, too, with the Brady suspension. You thought it was going to be good. Just the way that every reporter thinks they're going to get the answer from them. But I just remember back to when they brought in Tim Tebow. That might have been one of my favorite Bill Belichick moments. Because you have to remember, and it's not tough to forget, Tim Tebow was everywhere. Everyone wanted to talk about him. Everyone wanted to write about him. That meant clicks. That meant viewers. It didn't matter. He was the hottest thing around.

So you had reporters from all over the country.

All these different venues that don't usually cover football wanted to be there to cover Tim Tebow.

And he was having none of it.

And he was ready.

It was like gladiator games.

Thinking of how many different ways can you essentially say F you to the reporters without saying F you? He went all in and you're not going to get anything close to that this year because there's really no drama or anything. No. And well, I mean, they'll ask him about like being undefeated and he'll balk at that and so on and so forth. There'll be a Garoppolo question because he had the chance to trade him during the summer.

You know what?

No one's going to ask those questions.

I think those two questions aren't even going to be thrown out there.

I disagree.

The Patriots are believed to have a shot to go undefeated this year.

They have loaded up.

They're the defending Super Bowl champions.

And they will be the national media there.

And you will get a question about Jimmy Garoppolo. You will get those. It won't happen a lot, but there'll be those one or two questions in, you know, Belichick, like a great shot blocker, swat those things away. I mean, that's what he does. But there's always that little bit of fun in games that dance where you do have the one national reporter that hasn't really been

there a lot.

This is their first year on the job, you know, covering the national beat.

And they walk in there and they get indoctrinated.
