roting by the day, President Biden says he's dropping out of the

presidential race and endorsing Vice President

Kamala Harris to be his party's nominee. In a letter posted on his account on X

he wrote, while it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.

Vice President Harris issued a statement saying,

my intention is to earn and win this nomination.

Mr. Biden said he addressed the nation leader this week

to more fully explain his decision for now.

He remains in isolation at his Beach House in Delaware with COVID.
