Here are your Washington headlines of the day. Number one, all eyes are on Kevin McCarthy

and who he'll appoint the January 6th Select Committee. Number two, the back and forth between

McCarthy and Speaker Nancy Pelosi on the committee.

And number three, President Joe Biden will talk jobs, jobs, jobs this morning. All right, Jake,

let's talk about this number one story. All eyes are on Kevin McCarthy. And what does he do?

How does he respond to the January 6th Select Committee, the fact that he

has to appoint members? It is a very serious political calculation. Yeah, listen, you'd be an idiot

to think that McCarthy's not going to appoint people. Unless something crazy happens in the next day

or so, McCarthy is going to appoint people

he has to he's not going to let this committee exist with Liz Cheney is the only person uh his only

representative on the on the panel so then you kind of filter out from there who does he want and

why does he want them so um i think let's just go down these,

and I mean, we wrote this in Punchball News this morning. Jim Jordan.

He's an easy call. Easy call. That's like me, like, you know, put him in coach.

I don't think he wants it. But I think he's going to have to do it.

I know we've asked him, and a million people have asked him if he wants this.

He said he'll do whatever Kevin wants, which is a mark of difference because they used to hate each other. I remember actually, Anna, we talked to Donald Trump about this during our interview back in 2018 after the midterm elections.
