The Washington Post sets the context for this week with a look at how it is going to be a critical test of the president's position on tariffs,

as Canada imposed $12.6 billion on U.S. products, and China is set to enact $34 billion worth of tariffs on U.S. products, including soybeans.

Meanwhile, the Post also has a story on Mexico's new president,

Andreas Manuel Lopez Obrador, a reformer, who won with a political party that didn't exist

when the last election happened. It's important to note, all candidates had been critical

of Trump and his immigration policy and trade policy and anti-Mexican rhetoric.

Wall Street Journal reports that this could ease the pathway for NAFTA renegotiations.

Axios is up with a story on a leaked Trump bill that would allow the U.S. to leave the WTO

and would have given Trump the power to unilaterally raise tariffs without congressional involvement.

But here's some truth talk.

This is nothing more than a Trump dream.

It is so far-fetched that it wouldn't even reach the desk of anyone serious on Capitol Hill,

and is fairly stunning that someone in the administration spent the time to craft it.

Big news in the media world, the Wall Street Journal has a look at quartz being sold to Japan's

Uzabase. The deal, worth as much as $110 million, is the latest offloading of Atlantic media.

David Bradley had some interesting nuggets in his memo to staff, including that he plans to divest his media properties by the time he is 70.

That's five years from now.

Casey Hunt talked with Mitt Romney on MSNBC's KCDC.

She pressed him on whether he would vote for Trump in 2020.
