Jan van der Sendi, you are someone who is a well-published scientist with a lot of papers to your name.

Before we go into what led you to look into the subject of life after death, can you tell us something about your scientific background that maybe some of our listeners would like to know about?

Sure, Jean. I got my initial degree, a bachelor's degree at Swarthmore College, which is on the East Coast.

I got my degree in physics.

From Swarthmore, I went to Cornell University.

I did my master's degree there in physics.

And while at Cornell, I was working for a professor who got a letter from

somebody in South Africa from a professor in South Africa asking for graduate

students that work on diamonds and I said wow diamonds is an interesting topic
