Summary
I've been taking a walk – and a train – in the Black Forest of southern Germany. I visited the ticket office in the town of Triberg, where the person behind the counter is sitting at a desk 20 miles away.
Remote ticket office staff are already a reality on German railways, as staff are still able to give advice, take money and print tickets.
But could video ticket kiosks catch on in the UK?

| 1:23.2 | what the options are and work out which ticket you need. She does everything for you. There you are. |
| 1:30.5 | It's quite miraculous just walking past the electric engine which is going to push this train |
| 1:36.8 | along the Schwarzvara ban. She does absolutely everything. It's a wonderful system. |
| 1:44.4 | She'll tell you to put your money in the, or your card in the slot. |
| 1:49.5 | She prints out a schedule for you. |
| 1:51.6 | From all points of view, it's a very, very good system. |
