The NBA draft tonight, and it's not really the draft that's interesting.

What's interesting is the trades that happened last night.

So the honest trade goes down.

It's not the Celtics.

It's the Miami Heat.

And Julius Randall coming back to New York, and the man is a Brooklyn net, which is just a storyline and a story arc that is really tough to believe.

Now, you know me, I am, I only got really mad when the Nets fan was dunking in the face of the Nix fan after the Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving thing, and then I was blatantly rooting against the Nets.

But I don't pick on them like Boomer picks on them now. I just don't think it's worth it. But there's something about the fact that when Julius Randall was here and that Nick's team was trying to get on the right path, and Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant were with the Nets and was like, oh, you got Julius Randall is your store.

We got Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. And now Kevin Durant's back in New York as a member of the Nets and the Knicks just won the championship. And it was a disaster with those other guys. It's like, eh. Yeah. So I woke up to this news this morning. I didn't see it last night before I actually laid down, and I'm conflicted by it.

Because I actually, and I've talked about this, I really credit Julius Randall with a lot of the turnaround for what the Knicks became.

And I thought his time here was really good.

And I felt bad, actually, that he was sent out.

But the Nix did what they had to do. And obviously it's worked out. I like him as a player. There have been times where he doesn't look all that interested sometimes. But I do like him as a player. I guess I'm conflicted from the standpoint of like, what is the Nets plan? And it's they definitely got a score. They got a guy that's going to come in, and I think it's interesting. You know, they needed someone to pair up with Michael Porter Jr. That's good. I like the fact that they got the 28th pick in this deal. I want Zubi Etchefort with that pick, and I'm certainly reading that the very good possibility going forward.

They've got the sixth overall pick.

I actually do believe for whatever this could mean.

I actually do believe the future is bright for Brooklyn in terms of youth and what they can do

in this draft.

And I think this makes them better, but it's, I don't know, he's 31.

I thought this was a youth movement, so I suppose they're trying to win games now while still building and collecting all this draft. It's interesting. I don't hate it. I don't love it. I was just kind of like, I don't know how I feel about it. Yeah. It's clear what the Nets are doing. It's the Nix model. They're doing the Nix model. So Julius Randall was the first piece and then they're

going to go in higher Tibbs. And then they're just going to keep building and building and building up to

try to recreate the Nix Magic, the championship Nix Magic. I do do like Jordy Fernandez, but that is funny. If they get out to a bad start and he gets let go in December, here comes Tibbs. Yeah, and I wonder, I mean, Julius Randall is a guy who definitely cares. There's no two ways about it. He's a passionate player. He's into it. I really liked him for the most part when he was here.

Obviously, he had his moments and his mental sort of breakdowns on the court where he would just sort of lose it and hog the basketball and do a lot of dumb things.
