Welcome to the first episode of the Caesar VIP series.

So if you've stumbled on this somehow by chance, which shouldn't happen because

you've got to sign up for it, et cetera, et cetera. But if you have and you don't know what's going on,

or maybe you just haven't been paying attention and this shows up in your iTunes feed and you're like,

what? So this is Ray and Cam from The Life of Caesar show. But a separate parallel series where we're not doing the linear story, we're going to be inviting guests on to talk about Caesar and ancient Rome.

And they're mostly going to be academics, scholars, maybe some other history podcasters who can bring a different perspective to the Caesar story based on their knowledge of another period of history.

And we can talk about parallels.

Anyway, so it's going to be a little bit different.

Probably a lot more intelligent than our regular show is a lot of really intelligent, smart, educated people that are going to come on and help us

get a better understanding of Caesar and his era.

I mean, what was the path that you took to end up being an expert in these subjects?
