Pittsburgh native. Pitchfork calls her new album a spare debut that brings to mine early cat power

and Julie Dorian with a lo-fi sound that complements its dark subject matter. Julie used nothing more

than her voice and acoustic guitar purchased for 2899 in the built-in microphone on our Macintosh G4 Powerbrook to put this thing

together. Talk about DIY. It's amazing now that we're in a world you can do that and get great

distribution. In fact, this is the sort of thing that we're going to be pushing out on Guitar Center.
