I'm going to be here. If you ever thought about being a screenwriter, take some notes from one of the great movie makers of the past half century, Julie Dash.

Other folks who want, well I mean like I want to write, I want to write for the screen,

what advice do you have for people who want to be screenwriters?

Take a screenwriting course and so you just become,

you don't have to worry about the formatting anymore.

People often say write about what you know.

That's not necessarily motivating because I came out of the projects,

I like foreign story, speculative fiction and all that. And that's not what I know, but that's what I'm interested in. So write about what you're interested in and take a writing course just so you

you understand the format and you understand the foundation, a structural

foundation the writing of telling a story, of beginning, middle, and end.

That's what I was telling my students sometimes they didn't have the beginning, and then the beginning,

again, then the beginning, but there's a beginning, middle, and end.

And then just go at it.

Just go at it because even writing is collaborative at this level of the game.
