My guest, Julie Louis-Rifice, is in raised in comedy from a day's on Saturday Night Live

as part of that ensemble to being a part of the ensemble on Seinfeld to doing a show that I think

was woefully kind of underwatch. The great show you did watching Ellie, which I like quite a bit.

And I love that it was done in real time. That was like such an exciting thing to see.

Oh, it's just a treat to be here.

You've worked so much in ensemble comedy.

What do you feel like you like about ensembles?

I like to connect with other actors, particularly ones who are funny.

It just feels like, as simplistic as that sounds, the process of working together and putting on a show together and making each other laugh is the most appealing part to me.

Because how much for me has to, it's got to be about finding a group of people that you trust.

Totally.

And I wonder if that's an easy thing for you to do because you've been a part of so many successful ensembles

going back to starting one when you were in school.

Yeah.

You know, it's kind of like music to find it

without, I mean, at the risk of sounding very, you know,

sort of erudite about this.

You're going to risk sounding erudette.

Well, go ahead. We do that here on public radio. Yeah, I figured.
