Welcome to the treatment. I'm Elvis Mitchell. Since our friend Julie Louie Dreyfus was last here,

she has starred the third season of the show, Veep, on HBO, for which she got her 14th Emmy nomination, was inducted into the TV Academy Hall of Fame.

But before that, when she was last year, she had just won the Emmy for the New Adventures of Old Christine.

She's one of my favorite shows.

And I think a transiting show for NBC watching Ellie.

Of course, we know her from Seinfeld.

Julia, is so good to have you back.

Thank you for having me back.

One of the things I really like so much about what you do is that with a kind of a turn,

these characters can almost be dramatic characters.

Oh, that's nice.

You know what I mean?

I guess I do.

Yeah.

Despite all the comedy, there's a lot of drama in VEP for sure.

I mean, one of my favorite moments of all is when she's in the car in sort of the penultimate

episode of this last season and she just found out that she's about to move up and she doesn't

know what to do. I mean, she's been basically move up and she doesn't know what to do.

I mean, she's been basically on the bullet train towards this since the show started.

Yeah.

And it's almost the axiom beware the things you want for, you shall have them.
