This is exactly what I thought the Patriots would be post Brady. I didn't think this was the plan. Mike, I just don't think, like, you at the time, this is the way I argued with you all that summer. There's no track record of this franchise having success without him. I think they're the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NFL. When they have the legend, they're great. when they don't fare Mickey Mouse.

you could say,

I don't think there is good of an organization or franchise as everyone around here thinks they do. I think they had a great quarterback. Oh, hey, I agree with you on the organization. I think they're a good organization, but like everybody else, they were propped up by Brady. I thought Belichick had more answers than he

did. That was my mistake. I thought Belichick would still have a tough, smart team that

didn't make mistakes, and everyone else would continue to puke on themselves.

And you'd still be able to do that thing. That's what I thought. You'd still win at a high level. And I was wrong. I put too much faith in Bill Belichick.
