Would you join me in a word of prayer? Lord, there's really no time to be a passive Christian, Lord.

But what's been going on now and what your word says will be happening.

It is more true today, Lord. Let us not be passive, Lord, but let us be transformed, Lord. Would your word live and breathe in us

to strengthen us to stand up for your word, the truth that's found in your word, Lord?

So would you focus us this morning, Lord? Would your Holy Spirit calm our hearts and our minds and silence anything else that is

pulling for our attention, Lord?

We want to, and it's so important that we hear you this morning.

Want to welcome those of you that are joining us online as well. We're so glad that you are. Real quick, before we get

started, I wanted to mention that this upcoming Tuesday, 7 p.m. here in the sanctuary, is our

prayer meeting, would really hope that you're able to come out and join with us and pray with us.

That's this Tuesday, and it's the seventh. And so with that, Second Peter chapter

three. Our text today is verses five through seven. We're going to continue in our verse by verse

study through Second Peter. We're in the last chapter of Second Peter and I hope you don't mind

that I, as they

say, am going to savor the flavor.
