And the process here, you would argue, is that whoever wrote judges, we don't know who it is,

clearly was familiar with Genesis 19.

And not only accidentally or incidentally was telling a similar story, but was even reading

the events of his more immediate past and saying, oh, this corresponds with the events so much so that I'm going to tell

it in a way that connects between these two points. I'm going to reuse the exact same phrases

All right, so guys, last week we begun the end of the Book of Judges. We talked about Micah and

the Levite and the tribe of Dan.

We talked about how all these folks were worshipping Yahweh according to their own wicked whims,

treating the priest like a lucky rabbit's foot.

And I think, Sam, you told us that we were beginning part one of the books concluding dissent,

part one of the two-part conclusion, you might say. Today,

we're done with the book of judges after today. We're going to cover 19 through 21, which I assume

is the second part of the two-part conclusion. So, Sam, just as we've done throughout this whole thing,

remind us, I know I've kind of summarized it, but remind us where we're at and where we've been

in the Book of Judges.

Yeah, so 1-1-3-5 is the dual introduction to the Book of Judges.

Kind of gives you the lay of the land in terms of area they've conquered, the spiritual

state of Israel, how the Lord is going to raise up judges in response to the cries of Israel.
