A survey through scripture with Pastor John Corson. It is our desire to bring you a systematic

study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book by book.

In our studies in the book of judges we have seen the nation of Israel caught in a vicious

cycle.

First they are doing well and serving the Lord. Then they succumb

to sin and end up being enslaved by their sin. After a time, they are sorry for their

sin and cry out to the Lord and finally they are saved from sin.

You would think that they would learn and not start the cycle over again, but they don't. Why is this? It's because they are just like some of us.

But if we are wise, we can learn, and that is what we have the opportunity to do today as we hear about Israel entering another downward spiral.

Deuteronomy 810, when thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the

Lord thy God for the good land which she has given thee. Yet beware that thou forget not the

Lord thy God in not keeping his commandments and his judgments, lest when thou hast eaten and are full, and hast built goodly houses

and dwell therein, when thy herds

and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold
