I'm Wolf Plitzer and you're in the situation room. We begin with the devastation from one of the deadliest storms to hit the U.S. in decades.

At least 128 people have been killed from Helene's onslaught in the southeast.

That toll almost certain to climb dramatically with some 600 people missing or unaccounted for it.
