Welcome in to the Govalls 24-7 podcast. I am Ben McKee, and I'm joined by Ryan Callahan on this Tuesday, June 9th edition, coming off of Tennessee's important recruiting weekend on the Hill.

Tennessee had countless official visitors in town over the weekend.

And one particular visitor that has everybody's attention right now and for

the weeks to come. We will talk about Mr. DGG himself at some point in this podcast. But first,

we need to talk about the commits that are already in the boat because DGG is not a VAL yet.

But we've got to talk about the kids, the young men who have decided to go ahead and join the

Valls because since we recorded our last podcast, Mr. Callahan, with Malik Howard committing

to Tennessee announcing Saturday morning.

He kicked off a weekend in which Tennessee received three commitments and two others

committed since we have recorded that previous podcast about Malik Howard.

Yeah, the news started before the visit weekend was officially over with defensive tackle

Christian Mays out of Northeast Mississippi Community College picking the balls late Saturday

night.

He informed Tennessee's coaches of his decision kind of throughout the visit, it sounds like.

It basically told him he was going to do it.

And then finally announced it sounds like around dinner Saturday night where all the prospects and their families were in attendance and then put it out on social media pretty late that night.

So you might have woken up to that news Sunday morning.

But yeah, a guy that probably hadn't gotten a lot of publicity because he didn't get

offered by Tennessee until mid-May.
