When we started this podcast, we told everybody that our number one goal of doing this was impact.

And I want to read to you why this show matters and why your support matters to this show.

So this is a message that was sent in to Luke, but I'm

going to read it on his behalf. And I want you just hear, like this is going to take a second,

but just listen to the transformation of this person from when they first engaged with Luke to when

they sent this note, I think it was yesterday. Yo, dude, last time we interacted, I was following

down the alt-right pipeline.

Thankfully, I did the intellectual and emotional labor in order to unlearn all the bigotry, hatred, and self-hatred I had,

and started educating myself and became more progressive.

I just wanted to apologize, and I decided to follow you since you showed up on my For You page,

since I've been

interacting with more progressive content. This is why the shit matters, guys. Like this person

did a complete 180. It is possible. They are a young person who's certainly not going to docks

them, but they are a young person, but they changed. Like this is why we keep talking about needing progressive media network.

And it's not just talking to the people that we talk to all the time.
