Juan Soto lines a base hit to right field.

On base for the third time in this game, the only time the Braves got him out in the box

is when he hit a line drive right at the left fielder.

So Juan Soto was locked in offensively yesterday.

Home run that hopefully set the tone, draws a walk, lines out, rips a base hit in the ninth inning

as the Mets are trying to respond from giving up the lead. Pete Alonzo hits a ball, and I mentioned this to you yesterday, maybe it's in my head, how

there were so many balls in the Yankee game that I thought was out, and maybe it's the whole

ball drama in my head that the ball has dragged this season.

When Pete hits that ball to right field, I jumped out of my chair and said, here we go.

And then as I'm watching it, I'm like, oh, crap, this may not get out.

But don't worry, it'll at least get off the fence.

leaping catch.

Soto obviously picked off first base.

But if you watch the replay, I get what Juan Soto's saying.

He doesn't know if the ball is going to be caught.

He also doesn't know if it's trapped by Acuna, which at first I thought it was too.

Right.

And then when you see the replay a few minutes later of Jimenez making the call, it was delayed.

I understand why it was delayed.

He's waiting to see the ball come out into the hand of Acuna.

But I get the confusion that Wanzotto had.
