It feels like for whatever reason, more and more speculation and news is coming out of Wednesday in the winter meetings,

maybe because we're getting close to breaking this up.

The Cubs and Yankees are apparently further report on a Cody Bellinger deal, according to reports,

because the Yankees want the Cubs to eat a big chunk of salary.

And the Yankees like, no, you're the Chicago Cubs.

You want to get rid of him.

You're going to eat some salary.

So don't bank on Bellinger being a Yankee where that felt more likely that that would be the other pairing with Juan Soto, but Soto's gone.

So that could be out.

The other thing, Brian Cashman commented on the sweet nonsense with Juan Soto, which I'm sure Soto will get asked about. And Cashman's quote was more or less along the lines of, yeah, are great players pay for their suites should they want one?

And didn't vary on it.

And I could tell Cashman had a tinge of annoyed.

Yeah.

And probably that that became public and more or less, are we serious?

You just got paid $800 million.

Right.

And you're bitching about a suite?

I mean, what are we talking about?
