Well, Mary post Christmas, how you feeling? Don't lie, you're in church. You're tired, right?

I mean, what happens is before Christmas, it's like the flight to Vegas.

After Christmas, it's like the flight home from Vegas. It's like, woo-hoo-hoo.

You're a little tired, little bro. How many of you are still a little foggy?

I'd write. It's just that time of year. We're in the middle of it.

And in God's Providence, we're going to talk in Philippians finds joy, even when you feel stressed.

And for some of us, the stresses looking back at the previous year is we're on the precipice

of the new year and saying, man, I regret that. That could have been different. I wish that

went a different way. How am I going to make sure that doesn't continue into the future?

For some of us, the stress is right in the present, right? You work very hard to get Christmas up.

Now you've got to take the tree down. You've got to take the decorations down. You've got to

pay off the credit card debt for all the presents you bought. You've got to catch up on all your work.

You've got to head back into the office. And here it begins. For some of us, the stress is really

looking forward into the new year. Okay, what are my plans, decisions? What's my budget? What's my

schedule? How am I going to get organized? How am I going to have a better year than I did last

year? And all of this is just part of the dynamic of the society in which we live, where we live with

a low-level constant stress. And then we'll add to it things like holiday stress. And for some of you,

there's even crisis on top of it. And if you think about it, there is just a low-level constant stress

that you deal with, that we deal with that is unique in the history of the world. Just traffic,
