Hello, and welcome to The Trawl where we trawl through social media so you don't have to.

I'm Marina Perkis. And I'm Gemma Forte and that is the opening line that we used for hundreds of episodes.

In fact, it was sort of our catchphrase, if you like. But at a certain point, we decided to digress, didn't we? We got a bit bored of it. And we thought, let's try some new intros. Let's just be a little bit less basic. To the point where now, hundreds of episodes later, everyone's forgotten that that's the hook and that's the point of the podcast. so I just felt like we might need to bring it back now and again, Marina. Do you know what I mean? Uh, handy little reminder for you,

trawlers. Exactly, because that's what we do. We trawl, we scroll and we bookmark. And despite

the grimness of the news and what's happening in the world, we do do it with love in our hearts as well.

In fact, our entire ethos at the trawl is exactly the same as Jane McDonald's.
